Passing judgement on people who enjoy A SANDBOX-STYLE COMPUTER GAME in a way that varies from the way you enjoy it? Not so great. Grow up.
For some reason, the sims 2 is giving me an error message saying that it isn’t installed. what? So now I’m going to download the entire thing again through Origin. then I get to remake my sims…again.*cries*
current family since re-installing TS2 Ultimate. Rebekah, a young single mother, and her son, Archer. I cannot describe how cute this interaction is. I love all the sweet little touches in TS2.
Miss The Sims 2? Here’s how to get The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection (PC only) for FREE!
- Get Origin. If you already have Origin you can skip to step 3.
- Create a free Origin Account to get in the game.
- Launch Origin and log in.
- From the “Games” tab in the Origin menu, select ”Redeem Product Code” and enter the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS
- Enjoy TS2 base game with all eight expansions and all ten stuff packs!
And now I’m up and loading TS3 to play for a bit before it’s time to head back to Pleasantview and later recreate Madeline and Lukas…yet again -_- I think I’m skipping the hole courtship and letting them jump straight into married life. They’ll still probably be on Sims 2 now just because it’s still my fave.
Brace yourself for posts! Same Sims, remade, yet again haha
how could one not reblog this?
I hope this is as fruitful as the Harry Potter one.
I don’t like supernatural I FUCKING LOVE IT but I’ll reblog anyway
I won’t use CC when I reinstall Sims 2, I said.
I want to play the game on its own, I said.
My name is Jessica and I have a CC addiction.
Me: *uninstalls TS2 to make room for new games*
Me: *sees ultimate collection in Origin*
Me* whimpers and resist the urge for 24 hours*
Me: *begins download*
Cutting back massively on CC this time though. I had many too many clothes for my own good. Something about vanilla games has been appealing to me lately, so I’ve cut back almostall my CC in TS3 except for hair styles and some store content. I plan to do the same with TS2.
Ugh these games. EA owns my soul. :(
Anyone who had The Sims 2 base game or Double Deluxe installed received The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection as the previous titles are losing support through the company.
Why is this awesome? Because it includes every single expansion AND stuff pack released in the series, even if you didn’t have them all previously. I’m personally pretty happy and surprised at this act of generosity that seemed much more prominent during EA’s earlier days. I’ve been playing TS3 recently so thought I’d uninstall TS2 to free up space on my laptop, but was dreading having to find a way to save all the copies of the games that I had downloaded. Now they’re all in a neat little package in my Origin! Hooray!
Expect some new posts soon, probably TS3 related as I play that game and prepare for 4 to be released! TS2 will return, after I test out 4 and decide which game I want to stick with :)
Spoiler alert: It’s me.
I just put in the base game, pets, and two stuff packs because I remember the horrendous performance issues all EPs caused on my laptop. Not to mention the 15-20 minute loading time. I’m just not that patient.
What I have discovered since I left the TS3 world is that almost all hairstyles and clothing have been made base game compatible. That makes me quite happy, since as I went through my discs last night, I realized that I only used 80% of the expansions for their objects. This is glorious!
I’m not playing as in depth as I do TS2, but I think it’ll be a fun way to keep my blog updated while I get my families in order in TS2 and organize their stories. Hope you guys are ready too! Keep in mind I am playing with almost zero CC to keep the game loading quickly so I won’t have the flashiest Simmies. You’ll have to use your imagination or, like me, learn to love them anyway.
Hope you’re all having a nice weekend! I spent yesterday taking to my crush (my ex-boyfriend who now has a girlfriend, yippee!) and installing Sims. The origin update that followed took approximately 5000 years.
Now I’m getting my base game compatible clothe sorted and hope to post in a few hours!
Thanks for sticking around!
